Bohemia Chef joins BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen

This January, Bohemia’s Michelin starred Shaun Rankin has been invited to join the Chef’s table on the popular BBC One cookery programme Saturday Kitchen.

Hosted by celebrity Chef James Martin the show will air on BBC One from 10am on the 23rd of this month. Regularly attracting in excess of two million viewers the relaxed magazine style format of the programme features guest chefs and celebrity appearances. Highlights of the show include a ‘Chef’s Table’ where members of the public are invited to join the team and taste test the recipes which have been created in front of their eyes.

During the 90 minute programme Shaun Rankin will prepare a seasonal dish promoting local Jersey produce as much as possible.

Shaun Rankin will also take part in the ‘Omelette challenge’ a regular highlight of the programme where the guest chefs are challenged to cook a three-egg omelette in the fastest time possible.

Shaun comments “I’m absolutely delighted to have been invited to appear on this incredibly popular show, it will be a great platform for me to showcase some delicious dishes using seasonal Jersey produce, and to demonstrate how quick and easy it can be to prepare really good food.” He went on to joke “The programme goes out live and I know the pressure will be about the same as when cooking for our own Chef’s Table at Bohemia Restaurant!”

Shaun’s recipes will be available online at www.bbcgoodfood.com immediately after the programme.
